Quartier means "neighbourhood" in French, reflecting Port Phillip Estate’s commitment to showcasing the diverse terroirs of the Mornington Peninsula. Established in 2006, Quartier focuses on Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. The fruit is sourced from select vineyards in Balnarring, Tuerong and Dromana. Winemaking is guided by a minimalist philosophy: wild fermentation, gentle handling and maturation in seasoned French oak with minimal new oak influence. This approach allows the wines to express the purity and nuance of their respective sites. Quartier wines are crafted to be fresh, vibrant and approachable, offering a clear expression of the Mornington Peninsula’s cool maritime climate. They are ideal for early enjoyment yet possess the structure to age gracefully.
