Their Mazzy Sands Vineyard Estate, located on the Maslin Beach side of McLaren Vale, lies just metres from the ocean. As an SWA certified sustainable and organic vineyard, it benefits from direct ocean winds and sun exposure that ripens early and delivers bursting fruit flavours in their wines. The vineyard is one of the closest vineyards to the ocean in McLaren Vale, and slightly Southern sloping with limestone, sandstone, and sandy loam soils. Balance Nation wines are made for the modern, conscious wine consumer. Their ethos is “Life is about Balance” and they focus on the small decisions that we can make daily which can have a big impact on ourselves and our environment. These wines are modern styled, fresh and lively, easy drinking, with minimal use of oak but still complex and reflecting the terroir of the estate and region. The Balance Nation mission is to produce the best McLaren Vale premium wines possible that offer both great value as well as being eco-conscious. The Lamb family also aim to express their love of their McLaren Vale region and home and to showcase where they are from - the land of Sea and Vines, for its beauty and ocean front charm.
